What is Cams.com?
Cams.com has been online since 1999, which makes it one of the veterans of the cam world. Sign up for a free account, no credit card needed, and you can join a performer’s room to chat and get to know her. The real action happens in paid shows, although a few performers show some skin in free chat anyway.
Is Cams.com legit or a scam?
Cams.com is legit. It’s run by Streamray Inc., part of FriendFinder Networks, with a UK company handling Europe. Its complaints policy aims to respond within five business days. Watch out for the “dating” ads, which are rarely the real deal.
Cams.com features you’ll like
- Free chat: get to know performers before taking out your wallet.
- Amateurs and porn stars: both perform live on cam.
- Fan clubs: three plans with free whispers, show discounts and free content.
- Bonus tokens: Cams.com advertises up to 250 free tokens on your first order.
- Free signup: no payment or card needed to start chatting.
- PayPal: now the default way to add tokens.
Models and performers
On arrival you land in one of the cleanest interfaces around. Not into women? Click “Male” or “Trans” in the top bar.
Women
They come in every type. Look for the Vibrators category if you like interactive shows.
Men
You’ll love Cams.com if you’re into men. Where other sites have guys who just like being watched, the men here are good-looking and know how to put on a show.
Couples
A big letdown. If you dig deep you might find a lesbian couple, but don’t expect much else.
Trans
Few trans performers. Other sites have far more to choose from.
Interface, search and filters
The homepage looks fresh and pleasant: no third-party ads, just the cams, with filters for age, ethnicity, hair and body type down the side.
The model page has no clutter, just the performer. The filters are spot on, with just enough options to find what you like without drowning in categories, including fetish categories like bondage and foot fetish. Use the search bar only to look up a username.
Show types on Cams.com
- Free chat: chat with performers for free once you’ve signed up. Nude shows are for members only.
- Private show: one-on-one time with your favorite.
- Goal show: a show that starts once the performer’s goal is reached.
- Party show: a paid group show.
- Nude show: another group show, and the name says it all.
- Fan club: a monthly plan for your favorite performer, with whispers, discounts and free content.
Is Cams.com cheap or expensive?
Cams.com advertises up to 250 free tokens with your first order. Fan club members save 5 to 15% on private and party shows, depending on their plan.
Payment options and bank statement
PayPal is now the default way to add tokens, and Visa and Mastercard are accepted too. Some payments are processed outside the US, so check with your bank about foreign transaction fees.
Are Cams.com fan clubs worth it?
Fan clubs come in three plans:
- Silver ($29.99 a month): 15 free whispers, 5% off private and party shows, unlimited free photos.
- Gold ($59.99 a month): 20 free whispers, 10% off, unlimited free photos and videos.
- Diamond ($99.99 a month): unlimited whispers, 15% off, unlimited photos and videos, plus a one-time greeting video from the performer.
Like every subscription on Cams.com, plans renew automatically until you switch off auto-renewal on your Billing History page. Worth it only if you have a clear favorite.
What we like
A professional platform with interesting show types and high-class performers, both women and men, and PayPal as the default way to pay.
What we don’t like
The fine print. Tokens aren’t refundable, an account you don’t log into for 180 days pays a maintenance fee of 50 tokens a month from its balance, and after two years of inactivity your account and tokens can disappear altogether. And the show types have different names than everywhere else, which takes time to figure out.
Our verdict
We’re fans. Cams.com has been at it since 1999, and it shows. Pick a favorite, and if you become a regular, a fan club plan saves you money on private and party shows.
