What is Streamate?
Streamate is a live video chat site where you can chat with thousands of amateur performers, and some real porn stars, while watching them on webcam. Everything is live: you chat with the performer and direct the show. Performers broadcast from their homes, and the site is easy to browse by gender, age, looks and kinks.
Is Streamate legit or a scam?
Streamate is trustworthy: it’s one of the biggest names in private cam shows, and sites like Jerkmate are built on its platform and performers. Billing is discreet, with names like “EPOCH.COM *ICFTECHNOL” or “ECHST.NET” on your statement. Watch out for the “dating” ads, which often aren’t the real deal.
Streamate features you’ll like
- Free chat: get to know performers for free.
- Free membership: creating an account costs nothing.
- HD: many performers stream in HD.
- Gold Shows: chip in with other viewers for a group show.
- Cam2cam: let the performer see you in a private session.
Models and performers
Most performers are amateurs, which doesn’t mean they aren’t successful. Everything happens in real time, and Streamate stands out for welcoming every body type: its BBW category is one of the best.
Women
Lots of amateur women live around the clock. Not all have HD cams, which only adds to the next-door feeling.
Men
A good selection of men, from muscled to bears.
Couples
One of the biggest selections of couples on any platform: straight, gay and lesbian, mostly amateur.
Trans
Not Streamate’s strength. For trans performers, try Stripchat or ImLive.
Interface, search and filters
We’re not fond of the homepage: it’s messy and takes a while to navigate. The performers are worth the struggle, though, and the thumbnails are recent snapshots of the actual shows, so you can see where the action is.
The model page is spot on: no clutter, just the chat, the tip goal and that neat “similar cams” feature. Filters for language, country, body type, show type, orientation and tags make it easy to find your type.
Show types on Streamate
- Free chat: as a guest you can enjoy the free chat; create a free account to chat.
- Private show: what most visitors are ultimately after. The performer focuses on you, although other members can join and watch.
- Gold show: a group show. The performer sets a Gold goal, a minimum buy-in and a countdown, and the show starts once the goal is reached.
- Cam2cam: turn on your camera in a private session, so you can see each other.
Is Streamate cheap or expensive?
Streamate’s currency is Gold. On Jerkmate, which runs on the same platform, one Gold is one dollar, so prices are easy to follow.
Payment options and bank statement
Streamate offers payment options for your country: cards, PayPal and paysafecard, plus local methods like iDEAL, Sofort, Payconiq, BLIK and PIX. Your statement shows a billing name such as “EPOCH.COM *ICFTECHNOL”, “ECHST.NET”, “PayPal ICFTECH” or “SEGPAY.COMFCIINC”, none of which mention Streamate.
Premium without a subscription
There’s no paid membership. Add a payment method and you’re a premium member, with access to private shows, Gold Shows and cam2cam.
What we like
Thousands of real amateurs, all 18+, live around the clock from every corner of the globe, many of them in HD.
What we don’t like
The messy homepage. And because Streamate supplies performers to partner sites too, its shows aren’t exclusive, although most of the time you won’t notice.
Our verdict
Streamate is one of the biggest platforms for live webcam shows, with thousands of performers. The experience is seamless and the pricing easy to follow. We highly recommend checking it out.
