The golden rules
- Be respectful. Performers set their own limits. Ask nicely, take no for an answer, and you’ll get much further than with demands.
- Tips are gifts. MyFreeCams says it plainly: don’t tip and then demand something unexpected in return. On Chaturbate, tips are voluntary “and at your own risk”.
- Public chat is public. Everyone in the room reads it, so keep personal details to yourself. Cams.com’s terms even say chats may be recorded.
- No contact details, no meetings. Sites forbid exchanging phone numbers or contact details, and performers aren’t there to date you.
- Don’t spam. Repeating messages or flooding the chat gets you muted or banned.
What performers won’t do in free chat
On freemium sites, the room’s tips decide what happens in public. On premium and pay-per-minute sites, the free chat is for getting acquainted: on XCams, explicit shows in free chat aren’t allowed, and on LiveJasmin, the special acts on a performer’s list only happen in private. Ask about her limits before you go private, not after.
Chaturbate’s rules
Chaturbate is one of the most-searched cam sites for its rules, so in short:
- Tips are voluntary and at your own risk.
- Cam to Cam needs age verification, and the performer has to accept before she sees you.
- Code of Conduct: breaking it can lead to removal from the platform. Some performers use ChaturSafe, which blocks harmful or inappropriate public messages before they appear.
- Account safety: turn on 2-step verification; the codes never mention Chaturbate.
When a show goes wrong
- Leave quickly if a private show isn’t what was promised; on Stripchat, there’s no full refund once a private has run past five minutes.
- Complain on time: Stripchat wants complaints within 48 hours, BongaCams within 24.
- Know what’s covered: spying isn’t covered by Stripchat’s refund policy, gifts aren’t refundable on BongaCams, and XCams only refunds credits for technical faults on its side.
- Be honest. Sites investigate, and a fake complaint can cost you your account.
