How free cam sites work
Free cam sites run on a freemium model. Public shows are free to watch, and the performers earn from the viewers who tip. Someone tips for a request, everybody in the room gets to enjoy it. Think of an online strip club with no cover charge.

“Free” doesn’t mean the same thing everywhere, though:
- No account needed: Chaturbate (no account or card), Stripchat, MyFreeCams (you browse as a guest) and XLoveCam (no registration, no card).
- Free account, no card: CamSoda lets you sign up without a credit card.
- Chat limits: some Stripchat performers only let viewers who’ve bought tokens type in their chat, and most MyFreeCams performers keep chat for registered or premium members. You can always watch.

Where “free” ends
Pay-per-minute sites work differently. XCams has a free chat, but performers aren’t allowed to give explicit shows there. Visit-X gives you a free Live Preview of a few seconds, and everything after that costs VXCoins. LiveJasmin has a free chat for getting acquainted; the special acts happen in paid private shows. Great sites, just not for free viewing.
Tips for free viewing
- Check the new performers. They’re still building a fan base and often give more away for free.
